Green Light Project

What is The Green Light Project?Green Light Project1 235x300 Green Light Project
The Green Light Project provides energy and water saving tools and information!

Who do we serve?

The Green Light Project serves the people of the Columbia River Gorge area who can’t afford the items that conserve energy, protect our environment and save them money on their utility bills.

How did The Green Light Project start?

The Faith in Action Team at Our Redeemer asked, “How can we be good stewards of God’s gifts?”

We believe good stewards take care of God’s creation and its resources. Living in an environmentally conscious and responsible way is part of that stewardship.

We recognized that many people in our community can’t afford these tools. Tools such as:

  • CFL bulbs,
  • Eco-friendly cleaners,
  • Water flow restrictors,
  • Window insulation kits
  • Electric and light switch insulators
  • And more.

So, we decided to give away reusable shopping bags filled with these tools.

How you can help?

  • Pray for the success of this program and for God’s creation
  • Purchase the re-usable “Green Light Project” bags to spread the word
  • Provide supplies to fill the bags
  • Send names of families who would benefit from a free bag of these tools
  • Make Tax-Deductible donations through the church

Contact us by email, phone (  541-386-3993  541-386-3993 ) or at the address listed below. Please identify any special donations on your envelope or check as The Green Light Project.

Together, we can not only assist people in the Columbia Gorge area but
do so in a green way.  We thank you for your prayers, support and work with
us in The Green Light Project.

Your Faith in Action team,

Cindy Morus, Sharon Pantely, Judith Ann Richards, and Debby Chenoweth.
