ORLC has a 50 year history of involved and committed service in the
greater Hood River community. ORLC has been the birth place for groups like the Sunrise Organization, providing respite for those suffering with Alzheimer’s and their families. We have built and share a community garden to serve those in need of food. We offer our former parsonage as a low cost housing alternative to support four AmeriCorps members serving various non-profits in the area. We were the first church to partner with the governmental entity with which we share the same mission of growing healthy children and families, the Hood River County Commission on Children and Families. We have active leadership in place that is willing and able to work in responsible, reasonable and yet courageous ways. This is a strong, willing and able community and we are always looking for new ways to share the good news of Jesus Christ.
