I’m busy working on my annual report but wanted to just say a quick thank you to all of you for the opportunity to live and serve in our community. This has been a full and busy year but one in which our ministry and focus has been refined, explored and acted upon. I’m thankful for each and every one of you.
I also wanted to formally let everyone know that I am intending on taking parental leave (as allowed under ORLC’s personnel policies) after the birth of our new child sometime this month. The tentative c-section date is the 19th of January and if everything goes according to plan I will be “on leave” from the 19th through the 9th of February. Pastor Phil Yokers will preach on the 23rd and 30th and Pastor Kimberly Meinecke will preach on the 6th of February.
I intend to cover any emergencies that arise while I’m gone but should there be something that I’m unable to attend to, Pastor Chris Kramer (Zion Lutheran, The Dalles) will be available.
Again, I thank you for the opportunity to serve our community and wish you a blessed 2011.
