Weekly Morning Bible Study and Quilting

ORLC Women meet every Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for Bible Study.  Each week we engage the texts for the upcoming Sunday.  Additionally, on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday, instead of the study some of us work on quilts for Lutheran World Relief.

Monthly Evening Bible Study

WELCA Bible Study is held every 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.  We meet in each other’s homes and study using the monthly Lutheran Woman publication which contains articles and a related Bible study.

Annual Yard Sale

Every August, the women hold a huge yard sale with contributions from the members of ORLC.  Proceeds fund the annual Women’s Retreat.

Annual Women’s Retreat

For several years, we have been attending a retreat together in November, held at the Cannon Beach Christian Conference Center on the Oregon Coast.  This has become a very special time for the women of ORLC for faith-building, friendship-building and general fun.

In November of each year, the ORLC Women hold our annual retreat.  This has become a very popular event for our congregation and for those connected to our congregation.  Our annual retreat has usually been held at the Christian Conference Retreat Center in Cannon Beach, OR.  Please contact the church office for more information.

Tithing

The women of ORLC believe very strongly in the concept and power of tithing.  Therefore, we tithe 10% of gross proceeds of monies raised by fundraising activities.  Decisions about where to send the tithe are made by the group.
